CHORES, CHORES, CHORES.

If you are like me, you probably don't have enough hours in the day to even think of all of your chores, never mind complete them...AND if you do, the next day the sink is full again, the laundry has piled up, and the kids have trashed the living room.
I have just learned to let it go.
Let the dishes wait until morning, let the laundry soak for a few hours while you play cops and robbers, and opt for takeout when there's a busy afternoon or evening with enough running around to be done without throwing a home cooked meal into the mix.
This works, but often leads to pile ups, leaving me working my butt off for hours getting chores done that I have slacked on the days before.
I wanted to share this chart I found on social media. I would like to give it a try, and perhaps see if I can keep up with the chores, If I break them down and plan ahead.
I DID NOT create or edit this chart. I'm sharing it "as-is" to give you an idea of how to get started.
I will probably try it out as it is written, and add in a few extras in the spaces,
but I also plan on making a kids version for the children and their chores.

100% custom birthday parties, JUSTIN BIEBER (applies to other themes)

My daughter wanted a completely custom Justin Bieber Birthday party that was all about HER!
She had games, party favors, invitations, decorations, and even her cake 100% custom made to her liking. 95% of the work was done by me, and you could do it too. (everything except the cakes, which i sketched and a good friend made at our local price chopper, thank you jacey, my wonderful cake lady!)

party hats i spray painted black for the boys.

party crowns i bought in multcolor and spray painted black.

some of the kids at the table, i didnt get a picture before the children arrived.
vip cards for all of the children, paint shop

these were sort of like a place card. i made these using paint shop pro, on a 4x6 image and i  flipped them so there would be one on each side. it basically stated the partie schedule & some information the guests needed. we put two on each table
place cards also made in paintshop

these are her invitations and thankyou cards. both also made with a little bit of TLC and paint shop pro.

her photo cut out, which i made on a poster board.

mentos wrappers, once again a little bit of TLC and paint shop pro, a tutorial is available on my blog.
centerpieces

justin bieber themed party game. made on a poster board with crayons. after this photo was taken i also used fabric doiles to make a pocket on the backs of the holes so we were not chasing balls that flew thru the back.

mini bubbles, i purchase plain bubbles and printed custom address size labels which i double secured with their own adhesive plus a line of hot glue on each end, and a ribbon bow. tutorial available on my blog as well

pins! bought blank pins at about 2/$1 from my local craft store and printed inserts with paint shop pro

purchased plain white favor boxes 12/$1 at my local dollar store and we customized with printed stickers and ribbon, and finished them off with colored tissue paper and candy.

Nevaehs personal cake, made to look like a concert stage. her name was accross the front in the stars, this cake came out awesome on so many levels, she loved it.
A matching game i made with some printed pictures and construction paper

Nevaehs sheet cake, which she sketched out and my friend jacey brought to life. everything she wanted, zebra, stars, different purples and grays, even a small pink cancer awareness ribbon for Nevaehs great grandmother who is a breast cancer survivor and one of Nevaehs favorite people in the whole world.

additionally each table had two purple paper fans to keep the guests cool, 2 purple beaded necklaces, purple/white lai necklaces, a zebra bag with m&ms, 8 favor boxes, 2 mentos, a candle with a photo on it, a bouquet of purple/zebra/black and gray balloons, and a custom centerpiece.

the children all sat at their own VIP table which was complete with justin bieber paper goodies, table cloths, and matching favors. and each child guest got a VIP necklace with their name and a picture of Justin.

Her party in all was a total success, alot of work, but not half the money our guests suspected. everything was home made and dirt cheap for me to make. the biggest cost of all was the hall and food, which i paid/saved for months in advance.

Nose Trouble.

Let's face it, all 2 & 3 year olds get curious, well my son has an issue with nose trouble.
He has stuck a tic tac up his nose, and also a blue dye pellet from and easter egg kit. Both began to melt down quickly and slid right out.
Well today was a different story.
I was making some bows for my daughter to wear for picture day tomoro while my son was having a snack and watching monsters inc on the bed behind me. All of a sudden he starts screamin and crying and saying ouch while pointing to his nose. I asked him what happened and he responded with "pop corn".
I broke out the flash light and tweezers and there was no popcorn, kernel, or any other object in site. I played around with his nose getting him to sneeze, nothing. (A lot of sneezing but no kernel)
Then we tried blowing. Nothing.
Salene. Nothing.
He started telling me that it was gone because he didn't want me messing with him anymore. He would be quiet for a few minutes then the ouches would start back up again.
Well I had been texting his father on my phone, sure that an ER visit would be needed soon because he could get an infection, I decided to google "popcorn in nose". Sure enough my son was not the only one, but after 5 who said they had to make trips to the ER, I found one nurse practitioner with a suggestion.
Cover the opposite nostril, cup your mouth over there's like your giving CPR and blow one hard deep breathe.
Needless to say this worked like a charm, but a very messy charm! Within seconds my son was laughing because his nose was clear & pain free, and mommy was a slimy mess. I hadn't exactly thought this would work, but I now know it does and next time I should prepare myself. (But let's hope there never is a next time) I do warn you, it is messy and not for the light stomachs. It dislodges & removes the object, but all mucus and saliva will follow as well.
OH! And it was NOT a popcorn kernel, but rather a clear mis-shaped mystery item. To me it looks like maybe he got into a hot glue stick and bit a piece off.
Boys will be boys!
